ABOUT THE SHOW:
Les Dangers De L'amour, or "The Hazards of Love" is the headlining statement of Dancefx's Spring Concert this year. In a cabaret atmosphere, and insipired by an album by the Decemberists, Dancefx explores the obsticals of love, life and loss in mediums both deeply emotional and entirely superficial. Lending itself to the dichotomy of turn-of-the-century Paris with its garish, flamboyant colors, and racey, innovative artistic developments agaist the bleak lonlieness of the entertainer or struggling artist, Les Dangers De L'amour compares the choice one makes between giving love knowing that heartache is around the corner (seen in Freshman) and standing strong, and resolute alone, and in solitude finding that it is not enough(seen in Black Parade). There's something just for the audience (Dirty Can Can), something for the boyfriends (Moulin Rouge by Modern Pin Ups), something for the geeks (LOOK OUT! by Contact Dance Company) and something for the grand parents (Georgia On My Mind by DFX CO).
